Type-C can be customized by customers for fast charging and efficient data transmission, and because the USB type-C interface can be easily plugged and unplugged on both sides, it has no front or back, making it convenient to use. Currently, more and more mobile phones are adopting the type-c interface, which supports a power output of 100W. In recent years, the type-c interface has also been applied from mobile phones to other devices, such as tablets, laptops, headphones, and other electronic products. If the water resistance is not good, there will be a risk of leakage, which will affect usage. So it is necessary to conduct airtight and waterproof testing requirements for the interface, so how is the airtight and waterproof testing done for the type-c interface.

Due to the small and slim size of the type-c interface, as well as the grooves on the edges and internal slots of some products, there are high requirements for fixture design. Moreover, type-c has a small volume and a large number of products, making it easy for the upper and lower parts to take up time. In order to improve the efficiency of airtightness and waterproofing testing of type-c interfaces, there are 2-4 testing ports on the fixture according to requirements, which means that the airtightness and waterproofing of four type-c interfaces can be tested simultaneously. The airtightness and waterproofing tester equipment is a conventional waterproofing testing machine. If the type-c interface needs to meet the IP67 standard, then a pressure of around 10.5-20kPa can be used for testing, which can effectively ensure the quality of the interface product.

In addition to diversified configuration of type-c styles, in order to meet the requirements of different applications and PCB assembly processes, type-c connector products should also be able to provide different configurations. In addition to standard products, special configuration types such as compact, low center line sink type, vertical SMT type, horizontal plug-in type, and side standing type also need to be considered in the product planning blueprint.
